Jolene Latimer and Jeffrey Au have joined the World Curling Federation (WCF) media team at the Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2016. They are the latest competition winners of the WCF Sports Media Trainee Programme.

Russia women have won the gold medals at the Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2016, at the intu Braehead Arena, in Renfrewshire, Scotland, on Saturday morning (26 November). This makes Russia the first Member Association to successfully defend a women’s European title, since Sweden did so in 2005.

Scotland women and Switzerland men have won bronze medals at the Le Gruyère European AOP Curling Championships 2016 in the intu Braehead Arena in Renfrewshire, Scotland. Scotland beat the Czech Republic, who were competing in their first European medal game, by 6-2 and the Swiss men emerged as 8-6 winners over Russia on Friday (25 November) evening.

Competition in the B-Division of the Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2016 at the Braehead Curling Club near Glasgow, Scotland concluded on Friday (25 November) afternoon with the Netherland’s men’s team and Hungarian women’s team winning the chance to challenge the eighth place finishers in the A-Division round robin to qualify for the 2017 World’s.

In conjunction with the World Curling Federation, U.S. Curling Association, and the U.S. Olympic Committee, NBC Sports Group will bring back Curling Night In America for its third season, starting in January 2017. NBCSN begins its Curling Night In America presentations on Thursday 19 Januay with nine shows, for a total of 18 hours of coverage from the U.S. Curling Grand Prix.

Korea women have won the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships 2016 at the Uiseong Curling Training Center, in Uiseong, Korea, after Saturday (12 November) morning’s final. The host nation skipped by Eunjung Kim – and made up of third Kyeong-Ae Kim, second Seonyeong Kim, lead Yeongmi Kim and alternate Chohi Kim – beat China in the final 5-3 to claim the gold medals.

The World Wheelchair-B Curling Championship 2016 in Lohja, Finland, concluded on Thursday (10 November) and saw Finland and Scotland qualify for the World Wheelchair Curling Championship (WWhCC) 2017 being held in Gangneung, Korea (4-11 March 2017). WWhCC 2017 will be a test event for the Paralympic Winter Games (PWG) being held in PyeongChang, Korea between 9-18 March 2018.
