USA secure places at Worlds after Americas Challenge

USA's women's and men's teams will compete at the upcoming CPT World Women’s and Ford World Men’s Curling Championships 2017 after Nina Roth and John Shuster's teams defeated Brazil in three straight games each to win the Americas Challenge in Duluth, Minnesota.

WCF and WADA team up to promote anti-doping campaign - #CurlClean

The World Curling Federation (WCF) and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) are partnering together to promote clean sport at the VoIP Defender World Junior Curling Championships 2017 in Gangneung, Korea (16-26 February) next month. This is the first time the two organisations have teamed up to deliver WADA’s Legacy Outreach programme.

Brazil and USA ready for Americas Challenge

Brazil and USA will compete, in Duluth, Minnesota, this weekend (27-29 January) at the Americas Challenge, in pursuit of places at the 2017 World Curling Championships. Each year 12 teams compete in both the men’s and women’s World Curling Championships (WCCs) - two from the Americas zone, eight from Europe (when the WCCs are outside of Europe) and two from the Pacific-Asia zone.

Curling set for Kazakhstan return at Winter Universiade

International curling will return to Almaty, in Kazakhstan, for just the second time when FISU’s (Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire) 28th Winter Universiade Games (WUG) begin on Saturday (28 January).

July, perhaps doesn’t strike you as a prime curling month, but over the past two decades it has been the month where aspiring ice-technicians, umpires, coaches and junior curlers come together, in Füssen, Gemany, to hone their skills at one of the World Curling Federation’s flagship events.

2017 Sweetlake Junior Curling Team Camp open for applications

The World Curling Federation’s (WCF) competitions and development team is running its popular Sweetlake Junior Curling Team Camp, once again in 2017. The camp for junior teams, aged 13 to 20, will run from 31 July to 6 August, in Zoetemeer, Netherlands and will focus on team development and individual skills.

Quarter-finalists determined for WJBCC 2017

The 16 quarter-finalists (eight women and eight men) have been decided at the World Junior-B Curling Championships 2017 in Oestersund, Sweden, and will shortly compete for places in Tuesday's (10 January) semi-finals and gold medal games. China, Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, Norway, Scotland, Slovakia and Turkey are the women’s teams that have reached the last eight.
