Canada have won the CPT World Women’s Curling Championship 2017 in Beijing, China’s Capital Gymnasium.

Scotland will take bronze medals home from Beijing, China, following their 6-4 win over Sweden on Sunday (26 March) morning in the CPT World Women’s Curling Championships 2017 bronze medal game. The Scots team is lead by skip Eve Muirhead and includes third and vice-skip Anna Sloan, second Vicki Adams, lead Lauren Gray and alternate Kelly Schafer.

Russia made it to a world final for the first time, with a 9-3 win over Sweden in Saturday (25 March) evening’s sole semi-final of the CPT World Women’s Curling Championship 2017 in Beijing, China’s Capital Gymnasium. They will now play Canada in the final at 15.00 (+8 UTC) - live on World Curling TV or national broadcasters - on Sunday (26 March).

The field for the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship 2017 (WMCC) is set to rock the ice in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This event will take place between 1 and 9 April at the Northlands Coliseum. This will be the last event where teams are able to earn qualification points for the upcoming 2018 Olympic Winter Games (8-25 February) in Gangneung, Republic of Korea.

The women's event will take place in Beijing, China from 18 to 26 March 2017, while the men’s event will be held in Las Vegas, USA from 31 March to 8 April 2018.

This event is the last chance for women’s teams to earn Olympic Qualification Points for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games [8-15 February] in Gangneung, Republic of Korea.

Norway are on top of the world after defeating the two-time defending champions Russia 8-3 in the gold medal game of the World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2017. Scotland earns the bronze medal with a 9-5 victory over China. In a rematch of last year’s gold medal game, Norway took down Russia 8-3.
