WCF showcases ‘Street Curling’ at SportAccord Convention

The World Curling Federation, working with Rock Solid Productions Inc and the Canadian Curling Association, has been showcasing a unique curling experience at the SportAccord International Convention currently underway in Quebec City, Canada, offering delegates the opportunity to play curling on a synthetic curling sheet.

Curling mourns the loss of junior US curler

The world of curling is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Elizabeth Busche. The junior US curler from Duluth, Minnesota, died of a rare cancer on Thursday 3 May at the age of 19. The Federation extends its sincerest condolences to Elizabeth’s family and friends and shares in their grief over this devastating loss.

World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2012 Medal Games

Switzerland won the gold medal game at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2012 in Erzurum, Turkey, beating Sweden 7-6 in the final. For Martin Rios and teammate Nadine Lehmann it is the fourth championship title for Switzerland in the five year history of the event. Sweden’s Per Noreen and Camilla Johansson take silver.

Fredericton to stage 2013 World Mixed Doubles & Seniors

The World Curling Federation (WCF) and the Canadian Curling Association (CCA) today announced that the City of Fredericton will host the 2013 World Senior Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships and World Mixed Doubles. All three world championships will take place at the new Grant-Harvey Centre, April 13-20, 2013.

World Seniors 2012 begin Sunday in Taarnby, Denmark

The World Curling Federation (WCF) World Senior Curling Championships 2012 get underway this Sunday, 14th April, in Taarnby, Denmark, with 14 women’s and 23 men’s teams competing for this year’s medals.

Final WCF World Rankings for Season 2011-2012
