The Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men’s Curling Championship 2019 playing schedule is now available.

Curling fans from around the globe can enjoy the World Junior Curling Championships 2019 live on World Curling TV from 16 to 23 February 2019. A total of 15 games will be streamed live on World Curling TV’s YouTube channel and directly into World Curling’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
It wasn’t just the four teams that qualified for their world championships – China and Finland women and Korea and Netherlands men – that were winners at the inaugural World Qualification Event 2019. Many people, organisations and businesses in and around host town Naseby, New Zealand, finished the event with smiles on their faces too.

With the first stop of the 2019 Olympic Celebration Tour having made its way to Dublin, Ireland – from 14 to 17 January – John Burns, the World Curling Federation’s Irish representative, shared the Irish Curling Association’s hopes of one day building a dedicated curling facility.

Finland women and Netherlands men became the last two Member Associations to qualify for this season’s World Curling Championships. They had wins in Wednesday’s second play-offs session of the inaugural World Qualification Event, staged in Naseby, New Zealand.

New Zealand made history by defeating Italy, 8-4, to win gold in the men’s World Junior-B competition, in Lohja, Finland and progress to their first ever world junior championship. Meanwhile, Scotland women returned to the world junior curling championship at the first attempt after defeating Russia 5-3 to win the gold medals on Thursday.

The World Curling Federation is delighted to receive the news that its President, Kate Caithness, has been made a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) for ‘Services to Sport’ in the Queen’s New Year 2019 Honours List, in the United Kingdom. The first international curling event of the new year will take place in Lohja, Finland with the World Junior-B Curling Championships 2019 being held in the Kisakalio Sports Institute from 3 to 10 January. This is the second event held in the Kisakalio Sports Institute this season after they successfully hosted the World Wheelchair-B Curling Championship 2018 in November.
