Esbjerg, Denmark to host 2011 Capital One World Women’s Championship

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – The World Curling Federation (WCF) has announced that the City of Esbjerg, Demark will host the Capital One World Women’s Curling Championship in 2011. The event will be staged in the heart of the North Sea harbour city in an ice arena complex from 19-27 March 2011.

Le Gruyère renews partnership with WCF for the European Curling Championships

The traditional cheese of Switzerland, Le Gruyère AOC Switzerland, a long time supporter of the Olympic Winter Sport of Curling, is to sponsor the European Curling Championships for two years starting with the 2009 event in Aberdeen.

Canada captures double gold at World Seniors Championships

2010 Ford World Women’s Championship to Canada

The 2010 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship will be held in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada on March 20-28. The 12-team competition will be contested at the Credit Union i-plex, a curling rink/hockey arena complex which underwent a CDN $15 million renovation in 2007. The arena will seat approximately 2,400 for the championship, along with a number of corporate suites.
